1. What is the Cool Fortress?
The Cool Fortress is a heavy-duty, tamper-resistant enclosure designed to protect your outdoor air conditioning unit from environmental elements like sun, rain, and flying debris, as well as power surges and unauthorized access. It enhances the safety, longevity, and performance of your HVAC system.
2. Does Cool Fortress sell air conditioners or perform HVAC service?
No. Cool Fortress, LLC does not sell HVAC systems or provide installation, maintenance, or repair services. We specialize in HVAC protection products that work alongside your existing system.
3. What’s included with my Cool Fortress purchase?
Each purchase includes:
- The Cool Fortress structural enclosure
- On-site delivery and professional installation by a certified representative
- A Lifetime Structural Warranty on the enclosure
4. What are my responsibilities before installation?
Before installation, customers are responsible for:
- Ensuring the area around the AC unit is clear of debris, landscaping, or obstructions
- Providing a level and stable ground surface
- Completing any specific site preparation requested by your Cool Fortress representative during your consultation
- Your installer will confirm any additional requirements ahead of time.
5. Is the Cool Fortress compatible with my AC unit?
Cool Fortress is designed to fit most standard residential outdoor AC units. During your consultation, we’ll confirm compatibility and recommend the best configuration for your system.
6. How is the Cool Fortress installed?
A certified Cool Fortress representative will deliver and install the unit directly at your property. Installation is quick, secure, and requires no disruption to your HVAC system’s operation.
7. What is the warranty coverage?
The Cool Fortress enclosure is backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal wear and tear. Third-party components like surge protectors are covered by their respective manufacturers. Learn more on our Warranty Page.
8. Does the Cool Fortress protect against lightning or surges?
While the Cool Fortress enclosure offers physical protection, it does not guarantee protection against lightning strikes or electrical surges. For added protection, we offer optional surge protectors, which are third-party products with their own warranties.
9. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check, charge (credit/debit), and approved third-party financing. Payment is due at the time the order is placed.
10. Can I return the product?
No. All sales are final. Because each unit is delivered and installed on-site, we do not offer returns or exchanges.
11. Is financing available?
Yes! We offer third-party financing options for qualified customers. Ask your Cool Fortress representative for details on how to apply and what plans are available.
12. Where is Cool Fortress available?
Currently, Cool Fortress is only available in Central Florida. We are not yet offering installations outside this region. However, if you’re located elsewhere and would like to be notified when we expand to your area, please submit your information here to join our service area interest list.
